Account management: sales training and course for account managers

A good relationship is the starting point, not the goal. The real return lies in steering the DMU and deepening existing client relationships. In this classroom sales training for account managers you learn this with concrete tools, from the best sales trainer in the Netherlands 2025. See also all formats of classroom sales training.

Does this sound familiar?

  • Your relationships run on gut feeling, not on a plan.
  • You do not always know who really decides at the client.
  • Cross-selling and up-selling opportunities are left on the table.
  • Your margin comes under pressure at contract renewal.

What does it cost you if your biggest client quietly orders from a competitor?

What you will learn

The training is based on my 12 sales techniques and 11 scientific topics, applied to account management.

Steering the DMU

You learn to influence every decision-maker, including those not at the table.

Cross-selling and up-selling

You add value at the right moment, without it feeling like selling.

Strategic negotiation

You defend your margin in complex contract renewals.

Posture and voice

You practise live how body language and voice determine your position in the conversation.

Why classroom?

You train in a small group of up to 8 participants, with professionals from other organisations. You practise live and I correct you directly. That way you also learn from the cases of others. The training runs from 09:30 to 16:45 at one of my 12 locations across the Netherlands, and goes ahead from 2 registrations. Every training shows its scheduled dates per location.

What does the training cost?

€695 excl. VAT per person, including venue, lunch, hand-out, notepad and a mug with all sales techniques. You pay on invoice. Paying privately? You can also pay directly, via Klarna, in 3 instalments or by credit card. After the training you keep practising with the AI Sales e-learning and my digital twin.

Want to train with your whole team? Choose the in-company account management training. Prefer no travel time? Choose the live online account management training. The training is also available in English, delivered by Kyle, my native English trainer.

What does it deliver?

  • A grip on complex accounts, instead of waiting for the client to decide.
  • More revenue from existing clients, without extra prospecting.
  • Your margin protected, without damaging the relationship.

Who is this training for?

  • For the account manager: You get more out of your existing clients and know who really decides.
  • For the sales manager: Your account managers actively drive growth, instead of only maintaining the relationship.
  • For the director or owner: Growth from existing clients, without extra prospecting costs. You see it in your margin.
  • For HR and learning: One day, a fixed price and payment on invoice. You measure the level beforehand with the pre-assessment and the results with the post-assessment.

Frequently asked questions about the account management training

Who is this training for?

For account managers, key account managers and relationship managers in B2B who want more from existing clients.

What is the DMU?

The Decision Making Unit: everyone involved in a purchasing decision. Knowing and steering it prevents a proposal from stalling.

Is this also suitable for key account managers?

Yes. You practise with your own accounts, at your own level.

What is the difference with the field sales training?

Account management is about growth within existing clients. The field sales training is about the visit itself: control at the table and closing.

Still in doubt?

I am not a salesperson, I manage relationships.

All the more reason. You learn to spot opportunities in conversations you already have, without being pushy.

Will it stick?

You get a hand-out as a reference and a mug with all sales techniques. After the training you keep practising with the e-learning.

Is it worth the investment?

Do the maths yourself. Below you can see when the training pays for itself.

What happens after you sign up?

  1. You choose your location and date. The training shows its scheduled dates.
  2. You receive a confirmation with date, location and times.
  3. You attend the training. Venue, lunch, hand-out, notepad and a mug with all sales techniques are included.
